Search for data on "horseless carriages" in early 1900's

For the purpose of my research I am trying to get hold of historic time series data per vehicle propulsion platforms (electric vehicles, steam, horse carriages, internal combution). I am thinking especially of early 1900-1920/1930, but later is relevant as well.

I have searched several resources - some of them provide useful scattered data, but I did not encounter the time series data I am looking for.

The level of aggregation that I am interested in is installed base per platform in each year (e.g. official registrations) or annual sales per platform for the United States. Alternatively, I can imagine that firm level sales data is available, which would allow me to link it to specific platforms etc...

Would any of you know of a source that can help me further with this!?
