floyd
I have a 63 401 with an intake that blew out the plug under the intake is this replaceable or do you just have to get another manifold? I just bought it replaced the entire exhaust system only to find out the intake had a hole open under it. I beleive this was due to the heat riser being in a 1/4 open phase and the car was driven with it frozen before I got it. It runs good, just barks thru thru mfld. I pulled it off this evening to find that there is a hole were it looks like a plug should be . Any help with this would be great. Thanks.
palbuick
Its an easy replacement project. The nailhead intake manifolds were known for this.No sure of the diam. of the plug, measure it and go to local parts store, it is known as a freeze plug.Jim Schilf palbuick@aol.com
