Custom Round Headlights - Concept Photo

I'm thinking about modifying my headlights to a round bulb housing and using the newer plug-in style halogens. See the attatched photo and tell me what you think.

I went to the halogen, but I used the square houseing. I think they look better on the car than the round

Stick with the square lights they match the foglights,etc.

Your round headlight concept updates the front end and has a very modern look. I think the look works. I too have wondered how to use "roundies". The square headlights are very 80s. Keep us posted if you try this.

I always liked the 1963 Studebaker Avanti, wih the round headlight bezels, over the later models with the aquare bezels.

I appreciate everyone's input. I've always liked the classic look of round headlights and I am the kind of person that has to "make it his own". If I do the project, I will of course keep the factory square housing on hand. If I ever decide to sell the car, I'd like to give the buyer the original look. The factory housing will be used as a template so the acrylic shop down the street has something to fashion the new custom housing after.

In my opionion the open headlights on the Reatta are just flat ugly. They are great at night when no one can see them, they just destroy the cars lines when open. I don't care if if the lighhts are round triangular or square nothing will improve the look, except keeping them closed.

I disagree, I find the Reatta's headlamp setup very stylish. When the lights are up, the car seems to make a face! But, hey we're all entitled to our opinions.

Hey Dennis, Get stronger fog lamps and you can keep them closed. I happen to like the appearance when the lights and fog lamps are on - - it looks pretty neat when you see it coming at you. Ever think of a fixed coversion?

Look in some of those corvette aftermarket books.

Thay show fix head lights with lexan or plexiglass

over them. It could be done right with all the small

head lights on factory car now a days.
