Guest Posted October 6, 2003 Share Posted October 6, 2003 A question regarding assembly of Chevrolet's advance design pickup boxes.Should the bolts attaching the sides to the front and rear sections be painted? I assume the best way is to paint the sections while disassembled, but then assembly would result in the bolts being unpainted. Any advice is appreciated. palbuick Posted October 6, 2003 Share Posted October 6, 2003 HelloPut your self on the assembly line of the GM palnt. Probably the last thing installed on the chassi would be the bed. The bed would be completely assembled, painted and then dropped onto the chassi. So all assembly bolts would have been painted along with the bed.
