WillBilly53
how do you remove the tie rods from the intermediate rod of the steering linkage? i'm referring to the the actual tie rods (not the tie rod ends) is there a special puller? the pitman arm puller is too big. i'd like to take it apart and clean up the bearings and such.thanks! Guest imported_NikeAjax
Hey Will, howzit goin'? Are you using a pickle fork? I think you can use this for all that swellstuff, and it doubles as a tuning fork, in the key of C--no really! Use a big hammer when you use this thing, like a six-pounder, smaller ones work too, but you need to work harder; let your tools work for you, not the other way around. You can get these for cheap, and are nice to have around, so don't rent it.I hope this helps,Jay

WillBilly53
hey i just found out that the pitman arm and the tie rod is attached to the intermediate arm by means of a ball joint. i removed the big flathead screw on the end of the arm which released a series of springs and half moon shaped parts that huge the ball on the end of the pitman arm and tie rod. just wanted to carify.
