Guest Posted September 21, 2003 Share Posted September 21, 2003 How do you remove the outside rearview mirror on 66 Cutlass/442? I see two self tapping screws coming from the mirror into the door, (looking from inside the door)but I cannot figure out how to remove the mirror base to gain access to them. 66400 Posted September 21, 2003 Share Posted September 21, 2003 The shaft of the mirror has 2 flat spots on it where a 1/4 inch open end wrench can be used to unscrew the mirror. Once the mirror head is unscrewed the chrome piece against the door comes off making the die cast bracket mounting screws apparent. Henry Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
