Guest
I have to replace the starter on my '70 Wildcat and I have just one question that no one seem to have an answer for.
The solenoid on the existing starter has 3 leads running to it, the main battery lead and 2 small leads, one on each side. The solenoid on the new starter only has 1 of those small leads.
What am I supposed to do with my extra wire?

The Old Guy
Your starter has the wrong solenoid . The third wire is to supply 12V to the coil while cranking. without this wire you have no juice to the points when the starter is engaged
