1957Birdman Posted July 13 Share Posted July 13 Prestige Thunderbird offers a replacement top that they developed 25 years ago. Most of the T-Bird parts suppliers have them also. The top may be lighter than the original one since it is not constructed the same way. Frankly I would stick with what you have already. It is not easy to take off a top, fold it up, and then stow it in the trunk. Especially with the 1955 the trunk space is at a premium, something else to consider.
