1936 Gas Tank Removal

The tank is movable. It's the middle pipe in the filler tube that is the problem. The one that connects the intake tube (gas cap) and the vertical tube from the tank. It is rusted in and binds between the frame and the trunk of the car when I try to remove the whole thing. I don't dare saw it off, because there is still a bit of gas left. July 4th in June is rushing it a bit.

What do I do now Coach?

I found that the middle part of the filler tube screws into the tube going to the tank. It bound up on the frame when trying to take the tank off. I thought I'd have to take the rear spring off, but I finally realized that I had to let the rear axel down as far as it would go to get the space to manuver. It worked.

I appreciate the emailed suggestions. Thanks again.
