Ken garcia Posted May 21 Share Posted May 21 I rebuilt a 1983 ford bb385 series 460 installed new high volume oil pump on rebuild and melling rv cam and lifters with vs 280 valve springs motor ran great for break in time (15 to 20 minutes) went to lightly accellerate and it started missing shut it down pulled valve covers found lifters holding valves open havent checked oil pressure yet to see if pump relief valve stuck anyone ever have this problem?
