Guest Posted June 24, 2001 Share Posted June 24, 2001 I need to replace my vac. advance and wanted to put in an adjustable one. Jeg's list both a Crane and Accel. They different types are listed for points and HEI, no mention of specific application. So, will these then work for me. I'd be getting the points one. Guest Posted June 24, 2001 Share Posted June 24, 2001 Delco makes one V 8 frame for points and one for HEI. Stock they have different pull rates and total movement. The adjustable one fit any dist in the group. The ones I have seen only adj total advance. You may find that what you need is a different curve of advance not just more or less total. good luck. The Old Guy Posted June 25, 2001 Share Posted June 25, 2001 The adjustable advance from Jegs has a plate that allows you to set the amount of advance in 2 degree increments and an allen wrench adjustment on the spring that will set the vacuum required.
