FlyByNite
First step would be try the SEARCH function from the main navigation menu, Pick your forum, make the search for a year instead of a week, key parking lights in the search box, peruse the results. Reatta4Real
Got some info from the search. And I found I had this problem as well as a burned out light."Inside the lens sits an amber globe the 890 bulb goes into. This gives the turn signal the amber color. Use only the corect number bulb.If the signal works but it's white instead of amber than the globe is broken. They can be replaced. Go to www.1stqualitytools.comfor more infomation."Thats was from a post back in 2000, that link no longer works, can anyone give me more info on this amber bulb? Before I go taking things apart I need to know if I can find this a an auto parts stor or if it is something that has to be ordered.
Guest Greg Ross
Assume you found some info on Bulb replacements in your Search, the front corner lamp assembly is a bit of a torture to remove, the torx fasteners you mentioned in your first post are just "Teasers"I've done bulbs several different ways including a bunch of removals in the engine compartment, headlight removal, and latterly just get comfortable on the ground on peel some skin of the arms going up from beneath. The Amber part you're referring to is not a bulb, it's simply a socket the bulb goes into. They have been discussed more recently then yr2000, try another search. Seems the latter solution was to paint the bulb amber to solve the problem. And of course, a Service Manual is an absolute necessity if you're intending a long term relationship with your new acquisition. And, Welcome.
