1947 Lincoln Continental convertible door removal

Wanting to remove the doors on my newly acquired LC and was hoping to get some guidance on whether to drive the hinge pins out, like on my '36 Cadillac Ser 85, or remove the screws in the door or cowl. I gave the pins a few good tappy tap taps and nothing. I know they come out but hoping to get some real life experiences after they've been in the hinges for 76 years.  Thanks for any insight.
