Guest
I need some advice on installing the drivers side mirror on my '65 Riv. When I purchased the car it had an aftermarket mirror that was not a remote mirror. They had actually drilled holes in the door to accomodate it. I purchased the correct factory mirror around 2 years ago and just now I'm putting it on. The problem is that the holes to attach it to the door are not threaded. Is there special hardware needed to put this on? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Idon't have the body service manual, only the chassis manual, so that's no help. 66400
I think they just used 2 sheet metal screws. Henry
Guest
Henry's right. Get some big (#10-#14) tapping screws. The size of screw depends on the condition of the holes. I had to go up a size after some a-hole ripped my mirror loose.
