1941-48 PONTIAC STARTER MOTOR

FOR ALL SILVER STREAK 8 CYL ENGINES

 

Very rare Delco 1107921 starter for all 1941-48 Pontiacs with the Silver Streak inline 8 cylinder engine including Chieftain, Torpedo, and Streamliner.  6 volt.  Tag is dated 6M6.

 

Starter has been completely reconditioned.  Disassembled, cleaned, de-rusted, de-greased, primed, and painted.  Commutator and all contacts polished.  New brushes, new commutator end bushing, new switch, and new commutator end cover.  Bench tested.  Double checked by a professional rebuilder.

 

This 1107921 starter is for all 1941-47 8 cylinder Pontiacs and the 1107947 starter is for 1948 8 cylinder Pontiacs.  Other than the tag number, the two starters are identical per the specifications in the Delco Remy Electrical Service Parts Catalog.

 

This starter could also be used for 1939-40 8 cylinder Pontiacs using the 1107914 starter EXCEPT the drive end housing would need to be changed from this 1881846 housing to a 1874242 housing and the shift lever setup is different.  All other components are the same.
