Please see my 1/22/03 post for detailed description, I put it on the wrong forum then. These are original samples from a local tannery that supplied leather to American auto makers in the 50's and 60's. The hides were made to match these samples then sent to the interior people to make covers and put on seats. I'd like some input on what group could give them a home. If I had paperwork to go with them they would be the last word in Concours interiors. Only a few have something like "1957 Mercury" penciled on back, all have 5 digit number used by the tannery. It's not likely the tannery would be helpful as they were dumping other tannery waste in the private landfill - not good for the environment. Please leave a few references on who to contact. I only go on line 1 or 2 times a week so don't expect too many replys. Thanks, Phil.
