Guest
Hello Buick people,
My Electra 225 of 1965's right headlight is broken. I know this is a silly question but anyway, I tried to replace it without succes.
Can anyone tell me how I can do this? I pulled off the plug (female) leaving the male three-prong in the headlight. I can remove it.
Thanks for helping me out.
Gie,
The Netherlands
Guest
I,m not entirely sure what you mean, but I will try to answer your question the way I read it. There is not a replaceable bulb inside the headlight it is a whole unit. Thus the name sealed beam.To replace the whole unit it has to be removed from the front by removing part of the grill work, and then removing three screws on the hold down ring. Be carefull not to losen the aiming screws which are also on the front of the light fixture.
Guest
Hi BigMac,
So the replacement of the sealed beam requires removal of the grill?
Greetings,
Gie
The Old Guy
I think if you look closely, you will find that there is a bezel that covers the head light only. This can be removed by taking out 4 0r 5 phillips head screws, and you will see the the screws that the first post was referring to
