Keep your anchor pins!

Just wanted to pass this along since my friend ran into this problem on his 1965 Impala. The anchor pin that holds the backing plate to the spindle rusted and he rounded the nut getting it out. Since this is the stem that also holds the brake shoe springs he wanted to get a new one. He found this was NOT an easy task. I thought I had one to give him from a 1965 Chevelle spindle but the diameter was different. He found one for sale for $40 on Ebay and had to buy it. Think of all those anchor pins that got tossed when people did diak brake conversions.
