After several months and finally 600 miles on the rebuild. I pulled out my 1970 350 Skylark - Balanced, bored .30, .500 lift cam, port matched TA Intake, ported and polished heads, ~11:1 compression, 600 cfm double pmpr (a little small), 3000 TCI stall, super comp headers and flows.... Anyway, I pulled her out this morning for a little romp to see what she could really do... from a 30 mile per hour roll off (~3700 rpm), I hit the throttle about 3/4, she went a little sideways and squealed the tires all the way to 6000 rmp, shifted into second, (let off gas a sec to let tranny go into second) Romped again down at 3/4 throttle, broke the tires loose again through second for about 30 feet. Mind you not really smoking the tires but breaking them loose while covering much ground. Ahhh I could not believe the power! I have gotten into it a little in the past, but had never really opened up the secondaries, Impressive!

A buddy of mine (with a new mustang GT) has been giving me a hard time..."When are you getting that beater out of the shop? Do you even have this car?" He has been talking junk about how quick the stang is... I believe he will want to send her back to the Glue Factory after riding with me!

I have only one thing to say - Love that Buick Torque!!!!!

Cheers!
