Guest
I am looking for another head for my 425. One of the heads off my 66 Riviera has a bad surface between the water port and the first cylinder bore. Do I need to limit my search to a 425 or will one off of a 401 work? Any ideas on where to get one. I am in Southern California. Thanks,Don
Guest
The 364, 401 and 425 all used the same head. There were some smog heads in 66. Otherwise they were all the same.
palbuick
I would stay with the 66 401-425 heads. In 1966 the valve bosses were machined to accept a valve seal. This was the first year for this. Replacing with an earlier year would mean some machine shop work.JIm Schilf / palbuick@aol.com
