Guest Posted December 7, 2000 Share Posted December 7, 2000 I have a nice 1960 LaSabre with a blown 364 ci engine and was wondering what other Buick engines will bolt in without modifications. Ideally, finding a sound 364 in central Illinois would solve the problem but I cannot seem to locate one. Also, does anyone make a swap kit to put a 1971 Buick 455 ci into this car. The Old Guy Posted December 7, 2000 Share Posted December 7, 2000 The 364 and 401 through 63 are interchangable.Installing the 455 is another matter unless you can find an adapter that will allow you to hook to the Dynaflow,and that isn't really a good idea. The other option is to replace the trans and rear end,and that is, a lot of work. You are better off to find a good 401 and put it in the hole.
