Guest mdalbke
Hi all! I am working on the estate of a family member who recently passed away and he owned this Whizzer bike. I have more info at home and will update this post tonight or tomorrow, but I think the bike is from the 40s. There is a AAC of America plaque on it. I believe the bike was in running condition 4 years ago and then sat unused inside since then. Can anyone shed some light on this?
pcstrat
Hello , This would appear to be a 1947 Whizzer kit installed on a 40,s vintage schwinn bike. The light kit was a Whizzer accessory . This bike was not one made by schwinn specifically for the Whizzer kit . Some were produced with a different rear fender, brake torque arm, heavier spokes and had frame indentations for belt clearance. I believe this bike was restored by Chuck Pergl in New York. A very correct older restoration. Hope this helps . Paul
