Guest
Is it possible to get more horse power out of the 3.8 liter engine in a 1987 Olds Delta 88 ?? I'm just a little curious...
Guest
You can get more power from almost any stock engine. The question is, how much money do you want to spend? Simply changing to a K&N air filter will net some hp and mpg gains. If K&N makes a conical filter/cold-air induction kit, even better. Next, I'd recommend a high-flow exhaust. New plugs and wires are sometimes helpful. If you have fuel injection, you can look into modifying the throttle-body and mass-air, maybe port and polish the intakes. After that, you're looking at nitrous and forced induction (turbo- and super-charging, which the 3.8 engine does well with).
