1930 Buick Rear Window Sealant

I am wondering what to use as a sealant between the metal of the body and the rubber gasket when installing the rear window in my 1930 model 68.  I am attaching a picture of what I currently have.  Note the rear window is just resting in place and not currently attached to the body.

I would suggest no sealant.  The inside trim holds the glass and the weather strip tight against the body.  There was no evidence of any sealant used on my Pontiac's fisher body.  My original roof leaked but there was no evidence of leakage around the rear window.
