Guest
So I was getting to the other valve cover gasket, pulled it off after much hastle with the bolts, and I notice that the Rocker Arm Retainer is missing on the very first rocker arm..??? First being closest to the fan. Now how important is it that I fix this? How do I fix it? Could it be causeing the clicking lifter noise? Basically, HELP!
Many Thanks & Buick Love,
Scott.

------------------
1971 Skylark Custom
[ http://www.minimall.net/buick ]
Straycat
If it's just one of those press-in nylon retainer buttons, I'd just buy another and press it into to the existing hole. They are cheap and easy to install. Did you ever find the original? Might be ground up and at the bottom of your oil pan. :-( Don't know about the clicking noise though.
