Mystery Inner Front Fender

This is a inner fender that I acquired last summer with a lot of Pontiac parts, I know that it is now post 1949 as those inner fenders seem much lager than what this is. Cars from the 1930's from what I can see did not have inner front fenders as the sides of the hood were in this area. That would narrow it down to a car 1941-48, does it look familiar to anyone?
