Guest
Very interesting trunks that you have. These appear to be examples of good quality items that were available in the after-market probably from the mid-twenties. There were quite a few companies making accessories that were sold through auto supply houses, dealers and independent garages and directly to the public by mail order. Most smaller manufacturers did not supply their own trunks as Packard and Cadillac did. Measurements are quite important when marketting an item like yours, because of the need to fit to a specific luggage carrier. These racks were not necessarily a standard size or shape so there were lots of choices. The good part of this is that your trunks may fit many different makes and models. The likelihood of them being made specifically for a Cord or Duesenberg is slim. I hope this helps a bit.<BR>Jon Lee
Guest
My father might be able to tell you. He is James Durrell Padgitt, Jr., and is the grandson of the founder. His email is jpadgitt@aol.com. Any interest in selling either trunk? J. Padgittnull
