1937 Cord

I have a 1937 Cord Phaeton Conv. It is in good shape, however, not perfect. If I start removing parts and powder coating them, ie, radiator, stiffners, etc. will that deminish or increase the value of the car?

Dear Jerry:<P>The easy answer to your question is that it will change the value of your car, you have an important car. I think it is always best to restore the car back to the way it came from the factory. If you restore the car to show condition the power coating could negatively change the value.

Jim, Jerry's right, With a car like that, you want to keep it as original as possible, just as it came out of the factory, also if you show it, depending on the caliber of the show, power coating parts will take off points, and also lower the value because if you ever want to sell it, there will be more work to do to return it to original condition.
