Guest
I would like to get in contact with anybody who has or knows of any six cylinder, Rutenber engined Halliday Cars. These vehicles were built in Ohio around 1917. There is a short entry on page 663 of Volume 1, The Beaulieu Encyclopaedia of the Automobile edited by Nick Georgano.<P>These six cylinder Rutenber engines were also used in the Australian Six Car. Any help of leads would be most appreciated.
Guest
From 1915 (at least) the Rutenber engine has dimensions 76.2mm x 127mm bore and stroke, 3474cc, rated 38bhp. By 1920 Halladay were using the Rutenber model 25 engine, 79.4mm x 127mm bore and stroke, 3770cc, rated 46bhp at 2400rpm. Halladay seems to have gone through a bad patch 1917-19 and data is difficult to find.
