Guest
I have a 48 Packard Super 8 (straight 8)that has started doing something odd in the past couple of weeks that I can't figure out. The car runs fine and the temp gauge stays between 1/4 and 1/2 on the gauge. When I pull the car into the garage and turn it off it sounds like a rush of water into the radiator (nothing coming out of the overflow though)! I have no signs of a head gasket leak (no white smoke, loss of coolant or bubbles in coolant when running). Water distribution tube is one year old, water pump is 6 months old. Heat from the heater core is exceptional so I don't think it is airbound, but could be wrong. Any ideas?
