Guest
I have a '50 Ford with a Flathead V8. The speedometer registers my speed but the odometer doesn't register the miles traveled. I have been told that I probably need to replace the speedometer cable but, since the speed registers, I'm unsure as to whether or not this will cure the problem. Any ideas? The Old Guy
If the speed registers, the problem is in the speedo head .
Guest
thanks for your quick response. How much trouble is it to remove the odometer and repair or replace? Where can I find a replacement odometer? Or do I have to replace the entire head?
The Old Guy
The odometer is an integral part of the speedo head. any competent speedo repair shop can fix your problem
