Guest
Recently I read somewhere what I consider to be an honest evaluation of our cars. "Most of our cars were worn out by the time we got them." hvs
Guest
LOL! You are SOOOOO correct. It is always the previous owner's fault too. Poor maintenance and taking shortcuts all add to the mix as well. Time just adds to finding a cure.
I always have a problem in answering someone who asks if my car is restored. Since there is a ton of shortcuts that showed up unexpectedly from the previous owner's neglect, I have to say, "No, but I'm working on it." What I call a restoration means something much different to a person not familiar with a Model A. I found out quickly that it also means something much different than what a previous owner claims when making a sale. Sometimes those communication flaws are not a good experience at all.
Ha!
Huey
[This message has been edited by coupe1942 (edited 12-13-2000).]
