Guest Ernie North Posted August 4, 2014 Share Posted August 4, 2014 The title of my post earlier today incorrectly indentified the engine displacement as 235 CI It is a 233 CI engine.I am looking for outside diameter and depth specifications for hardened seat valves. From my understanding, these engines are relatively low compression, and combined with the metallurgy of Buick engines, hardened seats aren't necessarily required. A good grind may be all you need as part of a rebuild. I am am not an expert though. I expect someone else will chime in. You may want to consult a local engine builder as an option.
