sam r
I recently saw a 1915 Buick Touring (flat top fenders) with a removable head engine in it. The serial number is in the 242??? range. From what I can find, the D35 engine (removable head) was a mid 1916 addition to the Buick range. Is this an early D35 or was there an engine swap many years ago? Larry Schramm
1915 Buicks were designated as C series models. The D-30 series of vehicles, D-34, D-35, etc. to the best of my knowledge is for the 1917 small touring car. It has the removeable head and was also used in the 1918 year for the E-30 series like E-35, small touring and E-4 truck. I do not remember ever seeing a removeable head in 1915.
