tony lucckino
MY GS appears to have the original covers on the buckets and the back bench. It is black vinyl with black velour inserts. Everyone seems to insist that it cannot be factory as they would be all vinyl. I disagree, everything tells me it came from the factory this way. Please help if you have knowledge one way or the other. Thank you in advance......tony in prescott,az.....
Guest my3buicks
Look on your data tag, your interior code will be listed, that will tell you what you need to know. Velour wasn't even used in the 60's that was a 70's thing. It is/was very common for new inserts being installed on seats to replace worn original. tony lucckino
Keith, Will the data tag tell you that it is bucket seat and black, but not the type of material. I said velour it might be black velv cloth that has been around a long time. Thank you tony in prescott, azet
Guest my3buicks
It will tell you color style and material, if it had something other than standard factory material when built it will have SCO on the tag. Looking through my literature it only lists expanded vinyl available Edited February 12, 2014 by my3buicks (see edit history)

BUICK RACER
some pictures would help, but keith is right, i've owned over 8 or 9 '68 A-body Buicks and have never seen anything but vinyl and have the original dealer books too!
