Guest
I am interested in finding a modest restoration project of 1950's vintage car. I would be most interested in a Pontiac, or Chev Pickup. Any suggestions where to look other than the obvious like Hemmings, ebay, classifieds in newspapers? Also, is there a good Pontiac club or website? Guest
Thanks Ted, I'll look into it. Are you a Pontiac enthusiast?
Guest
Some Pontiacs - but mostly just an old car nut in more ways than you can count!
Guest
Well I may be nutty myself. I was surfing through the classifieds yesterday and spotted a couple of possible project trucks. I had narrowed my search down to the fire chief pontiacs or a Chevy or Ford pickup. I called a guy about a '61 Chevy Apache,$500 bucks. It's rusty, but it runs and the chassis, axles, engine, tranny, etc. are in running shape. Looks like I'll be working on this one for a while, but I'm exited about the finnished product. God only knows how many miles are on this baby.
Guest
Glad it's you and not me. I'm much more of a tinkerer and re-restorer. Guess I don't have the patience to take on a long term project.<BR>By the way, where is RDU?
