Guest 37Packard
Here's something you don't see every day. It's a set of 4 ORIGINAL Goodyear tires mounted on Pontiac Rallye II wheels which came on a 1978 Pontiac Firebird Formula when it was sold new 35 years ago. My brother purchased this car recently (which has 26K original miles on it-see pics) and they were included with the purchase. (The car was stored for many years covered and in a climate controlled building on blocks with the wheels/tires removed.) The car now has a set of snowflake wheels on it (off of a Trans Am) and Goodyear Radial T/A tires. The previous owner put the Rallye II wheels and tires on it last summer and DROVE it to the Trans Am Nationals in Dayton, Ohio where it won an award for originality. The tires are size GR70-15 Goodyear steel belted radials and still have well over half their tread-see photo of tread with dime. (I believe this size tire was also used on the Camaro and many other GM models.) The wheels are also in outstanding condition showing very little if any wear. These Rallye II wheels were used on several other years of Pontiacs-not just 1978. (Do your own research.) Also included are the original trim rings and center caps which are in similarly nice shape plus 20 chrome lug nuts. The price for everything is $999. Please call 502-767-7773 before 10 PM EDT. NO TEXTS! Thank you.... Edited August 5, 2013 by 37Packard (see edit history)
