Guest frogbert
I have a '63 caddy series 62 that Iam working on and I cann't get the high beams to work. The dash indicator light does work though. Does the automatic dimmer switch need to be hook up or working for the high beams to work?frogbert
Guest Commodore
Well, the wiring diagram I looked at doesn't show the automatic dimmer. But if it works like I think does. You first select high bream with the floor button and car goes to high bream. When a approaching car is detected, the automatic dimmer drops the high bream. So to answer your question, yes the automatic dimmer has to be hook up and working for the high beams to work because it goes between the high bream switch and the head lights.
