1947 Horn Button Help

I got an email from a fellow BCA'er from Australia and he asked me if I knew how to remove the plastic insert on the horn button from the chrome surround on his '47. He wants to fix it up like I described in my recent Bugle article on restoring plastic emblems. I've never needed to remove the plastic insert on my '52 and the 1947 horn button looks different than mine. Does anyone know how to remove it from the chrome bezel without damaging it?
