Guest
I have a 70 lark I have converted into a 4 speed. The car had a Turbo 350 in it. I used all new parts from a chevelle and it all bolted in nicely, but something isn't quiet right. I have to stand on the clutch to get the trans to go into gear somewhat smoothly. The adjustment rod is all the way against the clutch fork, perhaps even a little too tight, which is not good. I tried an adjustable clutch fork pivot, but it doesn't seem to help. Anone have any ideas on how I could get the clutch to disengage more so i can smoothly put the car into gear? Any ideas would be appreciated!! Thanks! 66400
You might check the throwout bearing. There's a tall one and a short on that's commonly used on GM cars. You may need to use the other size. Henry
