Guest dobo
Hi can anyone give me some advice on how to remove the instrument panel in a 1940 Buick Century so I can replace the fuel gauge, I can't see how the panel is held in dash frame. Joseph P. Indusi
I am fairly certain that the 1946 dash is the same or similar to the 1948. On my 1948 there is a panel that is shaped like the glovebox door and this holds the instrument cluster. It can be released and moved forward from the dash by removing 4 or 5 nuts from the back. Not easy to do, but when I was younger I could do it then. I am not sure of the 1940 dashboard arrangement but I think the 1941 is similar also to the 1948.Joe, BCA 33493
