I HAVE JUST TAKEN 63 WILDCAT TO HAVE VALVE TRAIN CHECKED AND RESTORED BASICLY ORIGINAL.NEXT STEP IS EXHAUST.MANY OF YOU HAVE SAID THE NEXT SIZE EXHAUST PIPE AND MUFFLERS WILL MAKE A LOT OF DIFFERENCE.HOW MUCH DIFFERENCE WILL HEADERS MAKE? The Old Guy Posted March 31, 2002 Share Posted March 31, 2002 It has been my experience that a switch to a 21/2 inch exhaust system and headers will help a little ,but to realize the most from the change,you will need to jet the carb up two or three sizes. this will make the engine really come alive.
