Guest
Does anyone have a diagram or picture of the brake pedal assembly for a 56 century? The pedal just flops and I think it's caused by a missing bushing.?
palbuick
High Mike
Some of the parts books have an exploded view of the brake pedal assembly, I dont think the shop manual will have it. More than likely you are right about the bushing,
it is a brass round insert into the base of the pedal, if the brake is worn the clutck probably is also worn, lack of grease. Best to replace both at once, since you are taking one off take the other off also.
I will check my parts book to see if there is an picture, and post reply.
Jim Schlf / palbuick@aol.com
palbuick
Hi Mike
Sorry no pictures in the parts book, only Dynaflow brake pedal. If you find you need bushings let me know I think I still have a set. The old bushings will have to be pressed out or bored out and new bushings pressed in, best done by machine shop.
Good luck
Jim Schilf / palbuick@aol.com
