Guest Steeleco
Well, I think I fixed my hard start problem. I was not getting any fuel out of the pump jets when the acceletator pump was pushed down. So I stuck this pin in the end of the jets and now I get a good stream. I won't know until tomorrow if it fixed the "hard start after sitting overnight problem" but I think it will. Guest Steeleco
Update! I am so Happy! I fixed My hard start after sitting problem. It worked! The saftey pin in the pump jets cleaned them out. Car starts right up even after sitting. Not to mention the acceleration is great.
Eric's.64.Superwildcat
Interesting. Although I'm sure I would have managed to drop the safety pin down the carb and into my intake manifold. Did you first try the spray type carb cleaner? If so, to what effect? If the pin managed to push things loose I have to think it was varnish.
