Guest
My Buick Centurion 73 has an exhaust manifold leak at the right rear cylinder. Can anybody give me advice how to remove the manifold. Is there enough space to pull out the lower bolts, assuming I can loosen them?
Any advice is highly appreciated
Richard
The Old Guy
The bolts are probably rusted to the point that the heads are under size. If you can get in with a hammer, beat on the head of the bolt to loosen it and beat on a 13MM socket. If that does not get them, you will probably have to pull the engine up where you can get at the bolts.
Guest
You don't need to remove the bolts. I think all buick exhaust gaskets let you slide them in from the top. The middle one has a hole for the middle bolt, but you can cut the gasket and slide that one in too.
Tomsriv
71 Riviera
