2x4 for 63 401

ok I know I ask over and over and am probably getting to be a real pain, but at my age I forget more than I remember and I really don't want to do something that won't work. 2x4 installation seems to be the easiest modification of all. Will there be other things to change to make it work well, timing ect?? The car has stock dual exhaust big ole muffer acrossed the rear. Exhaust manifolds look header type? I'd better start putting these things that apply to what I want to do in a folder. Any suggestions? Rob Tabolt<p>[This message has been edited by rtabolt (edited 02-06-2001).]

I believe that to put a 2x4 set up on 63 full size Buick you will find that the power steering pump, ac compressor and alternator are mounted up to high to accomodate the 2x4air cleaner. the ps pump might interfere with linkage of the front carb. you have to use mounting brackets from a 64 full size buick to get these parts out of the way. I'm fairly certain this is the case, if not someone will post. good luck!
