airbrushguy
Replacing the original panels...is there a spring behind each handle and crank?I only seem to have 4, one behind each door handle.Does someone repro these? Thanks
Guest Grant Magrath
Weird. I thought I answered this! The springs go behind the door handle and window cranks between the door and the door panel. Not 100% whether the vent window crank has one. Any late 30's-early 40's GM springs will most likely do. Try Chevs of the 40's or The Filling Station.CheersGrant
egor
If '39 is the same as '38, there's a spring behind each, available from Bob's Automobilia. I left some out when I installed new Hampton Coach panels on my front doors. The new panels were thicker than the original, and the handles kept popping off. Guest Grant Magrath
Good point. We left them off the coupe as well. Our door panels were thicker being leather.CheersGrant
