Tire sizes?

Recommended Posts

I have an 88 Electra Wagon. Last set of rubber i put on were 235's. I don't think you can go any bigger due to turning radius.
A tip> Any of the station wagon wheels from 1970's to 1987 all had a 15 X 7 rim instead of the std 15X6 rims, These are the chrome sport rims.

Here are some links that may be of some help to you. Do you still have your owner's manual? If you do, you can convert the old size listed there (i.e. M78-15) to the correct P-Metric equivalent size.
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/size_conversion.htm
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/sidewall.htm

Matthew
[This message has been edited by 67GSCalif (edited 10-07-2000).]
