question re interchangeability of transmission parts

I tried to e mail but your adress is blocked.I thought the 300 V8 was a completly deferent from the 340 V8 mainly at the crankshaft.I thought about converting a automatic 67 340 Skylark using a 67 300 donor car to a manual.Thanks Al Yeager. smile.gif" border="0

According to my 41st edition of the Hollander Interchange manual the flywheel is listed as Hollander #268 which includes '64-'67 LeSabre Buick Special '64-'65 8-300 Buick Special '66-'67 8-300, 8-340. All with standard transmission. Henry

Henrey thanks for help on the transmisson questions.My donor car dried up.Are all the needed parts to convert a automatic to a 3 or 4 speed easly available or is a impossile task like nailhead manual parts. smile.gif" border="0
