Guest Posted June 14, 2002 Share Posted June 14, 2002 What does engine code LR stand for. I would say L = 1965. R is for a ??? car?<P>The engine is in my 66 Skylark GS with Qjet carb. Non-#ing with car.<P>Is this a 401 or 425?<P>Full stamping is LR 79 5H180644.<P>is 5 the year - 1965?<P>Is H the plant.<P>My car is a "Z" car - CA is my understanding.<P>Any help is appreciated.<P>Thanks<P>Kevin Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
